inexpensive photoshop softwareDoes anyone know of some inexpensive software similar to photoshop?

I am slowly learning about photography and would like to experiment with some of my photos.
Photoshop Elements 5.0, is a cheaper version of photoshop (only like 80 bucks, as opposed to 700 for CS3) But as far as reealy cheap... idk what to tell you
If you belong to Multiply.com for free and go to join the group called photoshop. Several pages back on the leaders page is a free sample of an english version of photoinexpensive photoshop softwareshop. It might still be available. It is great. Ni
There is an excellent little freeware image editor called IrfanView, from www.irfanview.com, that has been well received and well reviewed. I use it all the time. It doesn't take up much space on your hard drive, and has a great many things you can do to images. It's worth downloading and experimenting with.
you can try picasa2 it is a good program andinexpensive photoshop software can be downloaded from the net. www.picasa2.com i would recommend picasa2 if u are just starting out and if u are using photoshop go simplephotoshop .com and u can learn about photoshop. hope this will help.
the best i've comes across is GIMP. it's free and works for windows and mac. it's not quite as ppowerful as full photoshop but it's way better than elements.
